Foundation for Mpuasuman Educational Development  (FOMED) has been set up by the Mpuasuman (Japekrom) Association UK [MJA] a social non-profit making organisation, to improve education in schools across underprivileged areas; offering resources for the children of parents with English as a second language in London and surrounding areas.

It is also to provide the required input for the educational needs of the children, the youth and adults in the Mpuasuman Traditional Areas in the Brong-Ahafo region of Ghana. This is in line with one of the objectives held by the founding members of the MJA which states that the organisation is ‘primarily dedicated to the development and preservation of both the human and natural resources of the entire Mpuasuman Traditional Area’ we do this via resources and financial support.

By being dedicated to the development and preservation of the human and natural resources, the activities of the body is designed to help others, the citizens of the traditional area, realise their dreams and ambitions in working together to achieve sucess through shared values.  It is the belief that such shared values will enable the people to understand the links between their own lives and the lives of others throughout the traditional area and the world beyond. We hope that such action will increase the understanding of the economic, social, political and environment forces which help shape our lives.
